The New Amazon Program to End Counterfeit Product

A Positive Step
In their email conversations, James Thomson of The Prosper Show told Kevin about Amazon's new program. It is a technology-driven program called Transparency Program.
Amazon has everyone's best interest in mind. They designed the program to avoid having counterfeit products. It is currently being piloted in a couple of brands, and will go public in few months.
Unique Codes for Identity
The program implements a barcode system, which will make it easier for sellers to identify their products individually. It consists of 26 unique alphanumeric codes.
The good thing about it is that the codes are easily served up in a CSV or Excel file. Each is unique and specifically registered to the seller.
Purchase and Agree
Sellers can purchase the program at an affordable price. Once they decide to join, they also need to agree to use it on all their inventories. That way, they help keep track of their authentic products.
