Into Farming and the World Online
Dana grew up on dairy farms in Wisconsin. He saw how farmers worked hard and thought that there had to be an easier way.

It inspired him to do something big in his life. He learned about online selling on eBay. According to him, the entrepreneurial road is something that comes naturally.
Preparation for Success in Business and Copywriting
Dana understood the need for a better listing to succeed in online sales. For that, he combined two things: his talent in copywriting and his background in farming.

While in college, he started honing his skills and did copywriting at the side.
How Dana Derricks Started in Copywriting
Dana struggled like most college students to pay his bills. His “aha” moment came when he didn’t have enough money in his account to eat at Taco Bell. Not having $7 to eat dinner was a humbling and eye-opening experience for Dana.

He got a credit card and visited Barnes and Noble. Dana bought every book on business he could afford with his $500 spending limit. That was when he started doing copywriting as a freelancer. Dana became one of the highest paid copywriters in the freelancing platform.
